DREW'S JAM

June 8th Drew Cormier Memorial Jam at the Miramichi Freestyle Park. BBQ, Games, Prizes, Music, and Friends. Be there! I know I will. Jam starts at 2pm. Entry $5 which includes a free ticket in the draw for a complete skateboard.

The Jam went really well. We raised money for Drew' Bursary Fund. Lots of prizes from Globe, C1RCA, and Ultimate Distribution. We gave out the majority of prizes during the jam but we got rained on and moved it indoors where we had a product toss and the draw for the complete. Check the Blog for a video.
Thanks everyone for a good time.

GO SKATEBOARDING DAY - SATURDAY JUNE 21ST

On June 21 skateboarders around the globe will celebrate the pure exhilaration, creativity, and spirit of one of the most influential activities in the world by blowing off all other obligations to go skateboarding!

Skateboarders everywhere will hold fundraisers, contests, protests, demo’s, they’ll skate across cities, gather in skateparks, stream into their local skate shop and some will even revel in the solitary act of skateboarding alone, all bringing together the skateboarding community in the grind heard around the world.

Meet at the shop around 1:00pm. We are going wild in the streets. Prizes for best trick, etc.

Man Go Skateboarding day was sweet. It went down, dude are you glad you stepped on a board that day?

SKATE CAMP

Learn to skate this summer. June 21st, July 5th, July 19th, Aug 2nd, and Aug 16. Saturdays from 10 - 11:30. The lessons will be given at the Miramichi Freestyle Park. These clinics will teach beginner and intermediate levels, covering basic tricks. $5 to enter and boards and helmets will be provided for those who do not have them. Sponsored by the Skateboard Commision and JJ's Boardshop. For more information call Mary Lynn 623-2054 or JJ's Boardshop 622-4111. All proceeds will go towards project stairs.

The First session got rained out as the park is dangerous when it is wet, especially that poly bord surface. I look forward to seeing you all on July 5th. Skate on...
